Billie Marie King, was born on January 7th, 1949 to William McKinley Duncan and Mildred Marie Duncan. She passed away on November 8th, 2025, surrounded by family after a short illness.
After graduating from Brazosport High School her career started as an administrative clerk at Dow Chemical in Freeport, Texas. On August 2nd, 1968, she married the love of her life, Miller King. After the birth of her two children, Tim and Jennifer, she began nursing school. Billie’s nursing career included stints as an ER nurse, home health nurse, hospice nurse and school nurse. By far her favorite was a hospice nurse and she believed wholeheartedly that it was her true calling. Billie’s life was a true example of her faith in Jesus Christ. Billie loved her church family and being a part of the church choir. She loved playing games and doing puzzles at family get togethers. She always had a camera in hand and commented there were not very many pictures of her. Billie’s greatest joy on earth was her family.
