Allan Dean Rockett

Allan Dean Rockett, 78, of Rosenthal, passed away Tuesday, February 1, 2022. Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday, February 9 at Pecan Grove Funeral Home with Brandon Berry officiating. Burial will immediately follow at Rosenthal Cemetery. The family will receive visitors from 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, February 8 at the funeral home.

Dean was born October 7, 1943 to Allen and Hester (Hickerson) Rockett in Waco, Texas. He spent 60 years of his life welding and working as a blacksmith. He married Karen Bradford on June 3, 1966 in Robinson, Texas. In his early years he enjoyed trail rides and was the head wagon boss on the Cedar Brake Trail Ride. Later, he enjoyed restoring antique tractors and attending tractor pulls. He was a member of the Texas Early Day Tractor and Engine Association of Temple, Texas.

He was preceded in death by his parents; and sister, Vivian Evans.

Dean is survived by his wife of 55 years, Karen Rockett of Rosenthal; daughter, Tammy (TJ) Donaldson and husband Willy of Lorena; granddaughters, Kayla Donaldson of Cedar Park and Kaci Donaldson of West Point, NY; several nieces and nephews; and a host of friends.
