Alice Hollingsworth Witt

Alice Hollingsworth Witt went home to be with her Lord and Savior on Thursday, October 9, 2025, nine days prior to her 91st birthday.

Services will be at 10:30 am, Monday, October 13 at Cornerstone Baptist Church, Robinson, TX. Burial will follow at Waco Memorial Park. A luncheon will be provided after the burial at Cornerstone Baptist Church.  

Alice was born on October 18, 1934, in Prairie Chapel, TX to Edwin Karl Schraeder and Lillie Sless, and was the oldest of 6 children.

Upon graduation, Alice married Robert (Bob) Hollingsworth. Together they had three sons, Rex Eldon, Ross Allen, and Ronn Morris. Later in life, Alice met CB Herring, and they were together for 34 years. Alice worked at numerous jobs throughout her years, with retiring from Sam’s Club after 29 years of service, and at the age of 79.

Alice enjoyed spending time with the family, whether it was for holidays at the family farm, or just getting together for a meal. Nothing meant more to her than her family, except Jesus Christ. Alice loved her church family and could not wait to be with them when she was able. She was the most caring and giving person that you’d ever meet and would give you the shirt off her back if you needed it. Hebrews 13:16 says, Do not forget to do good, and to share with others, for with such sacrifices God is pleased. This verse, Alice took to heart.

Alice was preceded in death by her parents, Ed and Lillie, husband, Bob, son, Ross, and her companion, CB, her stepson, Claude, and her brother, Charles Schraeder (Annabell) and brother-in-law, Gene Penton. She is survived by 2 sons, Rex (Donna) and Ronn (Donna), 7 grandchildren, Alicia Smith (Patrick), Rex Hollingsworth, Jr. (Nina), Raven Hollingsworth, Coby Hollingsworth, Chad Hollingsworth, Desiree Zufall, and Nick Zufall (Allison). She also has 4 great grandchildren, Rain, Jaylah, Jaydah, and Hailee. She also has 4 stepchildren, whom she loved like her own, Claudette Yates, Dennis Herring, Pam Long, and Lana Harrington and numerous grandchildren. She is also survived by 4 siblings, Ima Jean Kerley (Everett), Ruth Penton, Bill Schraeder (Sue), and Bobbie Nell Vincent (David), and her special friend, Harold Bairrington.

Alice will be missed by many, but we are all celebrating the fact that she is now Standing at the feet of Jesus!

Pallbearers are Brent Schraeder, Mike Sanders, Scott Kerley, David Jordan, Nick Zufall, and Cody Pollard.

Grandma, you will be so missed.
