Rosa Elia (Ramirez) Diaz, 80, of Waco passed away Saturday, October 1, 2022. Graveside services will be 10 a.m. Friday, October 7 at Oakwood Cemetery with the Very Reverend Benjamin Magnaye officiating. The family will receive visitors 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday, October 6 at Pecan Grove Funeral Home with rosary recited at 7 p.m.
Rosa was born May 28, 1942 to Crisoforo and Aurelia (Palomo) Ramirez in Morelos Coahuila, Mexico. She spent her life in education, teaching at Chilton ISD until her retirement. Rosa then went to teach English as a second language at MCC for many years. She was a collector at heart and collected many things. Her greatest joy was spending time with her grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; and husband, Genaro Diaz.
Rosa is survived by her son, Jose Diaz and wife Jennifer; son, Robert Diaz; grandchildren, Joey Diaz and Bella Diaz; and sister, Elida Ramirez Castillo.
