Richard Downes passed away on Friday, March 4, 2022. Richard was the fourth generation in his family to call Reagan home. He was preceded in death by his mother, Doris Baker; and father TC Downes; and an older brother, Thomas Downes.
He spent many years working for HEB and caring for his mother in Reagan. After her death, he retired to a nursing home due to Multiple Sclerosis. He is survived by two sisters, Mary Gomez of Bruceville-Eddy and Doris Wagner of Waco; one brother, John Downes of Reagan; along with 8 nieces and nephews and several great-nieces and nephews.
Services will be held 2:00 p.m., Monday, March 14, at Reagan Baptist Church.
