Lita was born, LoLita Gale Griggs, on April 13, 1936 in Ft. Worth, Texas to Lawson Griggs and Ernestine Boyd. She grew up in Ft. Worth, Texas where she attended Paschal high school. She married Lynn Braziel with whom she had 3 children, Donna, Billy and Jimmy, before finding and re-marrying the love her life, Doyle White of Dallas, Texas who had 1 son, Doyle Glenn and daughters Donna, Theresa and Diane. They married in 1972 and relocated to Waco, Texas in 1975 where Doyle was employed by Dr Pepper. Lita was a long-time member of the First Baptist Church of Riesel and she was an avid member of the Riesel Lions Club where she was a member for many years helping out with the Riesel Fair. You could always find her in the Dr Pepper stand greeting you with a smile and a Dr Pepper. She loved to bowl in her younger years and spent many years on a league with some of her closest friends. In her spare time, she loved to attend garage sales or the flea market, camp and fish and maybe visit a casino or 2. She also enjoyed her weekly seniors gathering in Riesel for many years. She just always wanted to go, no matter where that was, she loved to be somewhere surrounded by friends and family. Lita loved her family fiercely and was the glue and the laughter that held them together.

She is preceded in death by her parents, and 5 sisters and her loving husband, Doyle of 46 years. She is survived by her daughter, Donna Holomek and husband Joe of Riesel, Texas, son Jimmy Braziel and wife Kristen of Arlington, Texas, son Billy Braziel and wife Pam of Riesel, Texas, and her brother Woodrow Markum and wife Kathy of Weatherford, Texas as well as numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

Lita aka mom and mawmaw will be remembered for so many things but she had the best belly laugh and that will be missed dearly. If you were able to experience her laughter you experienced the best. So laugh today and laugh tomorrow, because life is to short not to.

The family would like to send a special thank you to Brookdale Lakeshore Assisted Living Center for the care provided to her in her 3 years of residence and for the care she received in her final moments.
