Lenora Dolzel, born March 31, 1922 at Penelope, TX, to parents Adolph Scheler and Emma Lucko Scheler, passed away Wednesday, December 23, 2020. Graveside services will be 1:00 p.m., Tuesday, December 29, at Waco Memorial Park with Pastor Larry Krueger officiating. Lenora will lie in state Monday, December 28, from 10am until 6:00 p.m., at Pecan Grove Funeral Home, 3124 Robinson Drive, Waco.
Lenora married John Dolzel in Hattisburg, Mississippi on December 5, 1942. They moved to Brandon, TX for one year, lived in Malone, TX for two years then moved to a farm in Chilton, TX in 1948. They lived there until March 2011. Lenora loved gardening and sewing especially for her family. She was a member of the St. Paul Lutheran Church in Bellmead, TX.
Lenora is survived by her daughter, Nancy Dolzel Youmans and husband, Hal; son, Ed Dolzel and wife Kay; three grandchildren and numerous great-grandchildren.
