The youngest of 10 children, Lawrence “BABY” Reid, 86, of Robinson, Texas, passed away December 17, 2019. He is survived by his loving wife Wanda, of 60 years; four children, Jackie, Rita, Susan and Terry. Baby was also blessed with 10 grandchildren and 7 great- grandchildren who will all miss their PaPaw.
Enlisting in the Navy during the Korean War, he served our country with pride and honor. Following his service, Baby went to work for several local companies and retired from M & M Mars. Instead of a true retirement, Baby opted to deliver vehicles for various car dealers throughout the area for many years. Jokingly referring to this as his “pocket money or Vegas money”.
A visitation will be held Monday Dec 23, 2019 between 4 pm and 6 pm, at Pecan Grove Funeral Home, 3127 Robinson Drive, Waco. His family will be sharing their memories and love of Lawrence, Baby, Pop, PaPaw and Father-In-Law.
Immediately following the memorial service the family will be gathering and welcoming anyone to “Baby Reid son house @ Terry and Jana Reid’s home

Pat and Jackie, We are sorry for the loss of your dad. We've been in Rockport for awhile but I remember him sitting on the front porch, we waved at each other every day for many years. He was a good guy.

To Wanda Rita, and the rest of Lawrence's family. We are so very sorry to just see of Lawrence's passing!! He was such a great guy to have worked with all of the years out at Mars!! I used to locker next to him, and he always was one of the happiest funniest men that I ever worked around!! Never a bad thing to say about anybody!! Just having the ''Time-Of-His-Life''!! And he is going to be missed dearly by many, many people!! He loved his wife and Family!! And we have always enjoyed being around and working with you Wanda too!! Same goes for Rita!! May we all remember the fun/good times that we have had with Lawrence over the years!! Thoughts/Condolences/Prayers to the Family!! And may GOD bless 'each' one of you!! And we are going to have a really hard time giving Lawrence up!! But he will live on in 'our' thoughts and memories!! And the LORD called another good man home!! Again GOD bless 'each' of you!! Ronny/Janet Bredemeyer(Ronny Mars retired 25 years[2001], Janet retired with 18 years[2010]!!!

I lived next to "Pops" as we called him for about 4 yrs , was the best neighbor anyone could ever ask for ! So I was mowing my lawn with my crappy riding mower and it quit working on me while I was mowing the back. Ma and Pops were sitting under the umbrella on the back porch sipping some fine southern refreshments and they were both watching me trying to figure out what was wrong with it . Pops hollered "Hey ... what's a matter can't figure that p.o.s out or what? As he hobbled over to the fence . I told him what I thought and he scratched his head and said well that ain't no good just use mine whenever you need to , its brand new I haven't even used it yet ! So I got to finish my jungle cut with his nice new mower . When I say that man had a heart of gold , he would've given the shirt off his back if he thought you needed it bad enough . I know he's in a better place but the world was better with him in it !
