Johnny Owen Whiteside, Sr., 76, passed away Friday, August 30, 2019. Graveside services will be 1:00 PM Wednesday, September 4th at Rosemound Cemetery, 3201 South 12th St., Waco.
Johnny was born December 18, 1942 to Joe and Reba (Stewart) Whiteside in Waco, Texas. He loved to hunt and fish in his younger years. Johnny was best known for being an adamant Dallas Cowboy fan.
He is preceded in death by his parents.
Johnny is survived by his daughter, Chymene McAdams; sons, Johnny Whiteside, Jr. and wife Virginia, Steve Whiteside; grandchildren, Jessica Carmody and husband Dylan, Darrel Whiteside and wife Alice, Lauren Whiteside, Christian Barton and husband Ryan; seven great-grandchildren; three brothers, Calvin Whiteside and wife Mary, Roy Glen Whiteside and wife Beverly, Danny Whiteside and wife Tiffany; along with numerous nieces and nephews.
The family wishes to thank the nurses and staff at St. Anthony’s Care Center and Providence Hospice for their compassionate care for Johnny.
