Ignacio Lopez

Ignacio Lopez Galvan passed away on February 12, 2021 at the age of 86. He was born July 31, 1934 in Monterrey, Nuevo Leon, Mexico to Maria del Refugio Galvan and Jose Lopez. He married Maria de Jesus Sanchez in Monterrey on January 7, 1960. They lived in Chicago, where Ignacio worked as a tailor. He was a pioneer in introducing computer technology in the garment industry. They raised their son as they moved from place to place including Illinois, Texas, and California. Ignacio and Maria have resided in Robinson, TX since the 1990s.

Ignacio enjoyed fishing and tinkering with his cars and other machinery in his garage. He enjoyed the company of family and friends.

Ignacio is survived by his wife Maria Lopez, son Jose Loera, and several nephews and nieces.

A gathering will be held at the family’s home at a later date due to the weather concerns.
