Gail Hargrove

Gail Strahan Hargrove, 72, of Lorena passed peacefully on September 7, 2022, at her residence. A Celebration of Life will be from 2 – 4:00 p.m., Saturday, October 1, 2022, at Pecan Grove Funeral Home, 3124 Robinson Drive, Waco, TX.

Gail was born September 26, 1949, in Waco, TX to Barney and Margie Strahan. She grew up in Valley Mills, TX. Gail worked for many years in the HBMC Surgery Department. She loved spending time with family, especially her grandchildren and extended family. Her hobbies included crossword puzzles, cooking, and listening to music.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Barney & Margie Strahan and sister-in-law, Peggy Strahan. Gail is survived by a daughter, Misti Simons Stevener of Austin; a son, Steven Simons and companion Halley Taylor of Moody; daughter-in-law, Tammie Pruitt; siblings include a brother, Alan Strahan of Lorena; two sisters, Bobbie Simons and husband David Simons of Valley Mills, Denise Gateley of Woodway; grandchildren, Jenna Stevener, Clarissa Garza, James Simons, and Sammy Simons; along with numerous great-grandchildren and many nieces, nephews, friends, and family.
