Esther Elsie Bunn was born the middle of nine children to Edwin and Alvina Adler on a cotton farm in Malone, Texas. At age 16 Mom left the farm, for Houston to help a cousin who was expecting a child. While working as a lunch counter waitress in Houston Mom met her future husband, our father, T.V. Bunn. Dad fell in love at first sight. For Mom, it took a little longer. Being the ever tenacious and consummate salesman, Dad convinced her they were meant for each other. They married October 3, 1942. In 1948 they moved to Casper Wyoming. They relocated to Odessa, Texas in 1950 where Dad worked in the oil fields as a drilling tool salesman. There, they raised two sons. Mom was gifted in showing hospitality to family and friends and was an active member at Redeemer Lutheran Church.

Mom and Dad remained in Odessa until 1967 when a work transfer took them to Alaska on the greatest adventure of their lives. There, Esther began a real estate sales career. Within a very few years she became one of the top selling agents in the state. Upon retirement they returned to San Angelo, Texas where Mom was active at Trinity Lutheran Church, remaining a member until her passing. In 2015 Mom came to live with her son’s family in Maple Valley, Washington. There she was surrounded by her family and many new friends.
Over the years Mom and Dad had many adventures together, traveling the country while towing a travel trailer from Alaska to Florida and many points in between. No matter where she went or what she achieved Mom remained a beautiful but very modest, humble, and quiet lady of great inner strength guided by a very deep faith in God’s loving hand in her life. Raised with a strong work ethic she was never too busy to lend a hand to someone in need. In her moments alone, she could often be found with a devotional in her hand. In her last years, holding fast to her faith, she always welcomed a daily bible reading.
Mom was preceded in death by our Father, T.V. Bunn, her husband of 61 years, and her grandson Major Daniel Lee Bunn (U.S. Army).

She is survived by two sons, Wayne Lee Bunn of San Angelo, Texas and Ronald Bunn of Maple Valley, WA; Daughters-in-law, Carol Sue Gray Bunn of Glasgow, KY and Elizabeth Bunn of Maple Valley, WA; three grandchildren Dr. Paul (Deanna) Bunn of Glasgow, KY, Carolyn Bunn of Seattle, Washington, and Christopher (Lindsey) Bunn of Enumclaw, WA; and Grand Daughter-in-law, Renee Cate Bunn of San Angelo, TX. Her great grandchildren include Londyn Cate Bunn of San Angelo, TX; Elijah, Ashley, Clara, Kaylee, Brigit, Amy, Elizabeth, Hayley, Ella, Natalie, Zebulun, and Jedidiah Bunn of Glasgow, KY. Her great-great grandchildren include Alex, Sarah, and Hannah Babb of Shelbyville, KY; Logan Warner and Gabe, Savanah, and Charlee Ann Cannon of Riddleton, TN. A host of loving nieces, nephews, and lovingly close children of lifelong friends also survive.
