Elizabeth "Liz" Romero

Elizabeth “Liz” Ann Romero was a caring mother, grandmother, sister, and friend. She was taken from us April 2022. Funeral services for Elizabeth will be 10:00 a.m., Wednesday, June 15, 2022 at Pecan Grove Funeral Home, 3124 Robinson Drive, Waco, with Pastor Pat Riley officiating. Burial will follow at Oakwood Cemetery. Visitation will be from 6 – 8:00 p.m., Tuesday, June 14, at the funeral home.

Elizabeth was born to Pilar Garcia on January 2, 1979 and was raised by her mother and father, Louis Garcia. After getting her G.E.D. she then went into the Army to protect and serve her country. She then went on to have 4 children. Elizabeth was a woman of faith and a loving person. She enjoyed spending time in the kitchen, creating delicious meals for her family. She loved playing bingo with her sons. She also enjoyed fishing and traveling.

Elizabeth is survived by her 4 sons, Freddie Rios Jr. and spouse Leona Garza, Louis & spouse Selena Rios; Carlos Rios, Chris Rios, 7 grandchildren; her parents, Pilar Ramirez and Louis Garcia; 2 sisters and their spouses, Rose & Albert Contreras, Lori & Vincent Flores; 4 brothers and spouses, Sal & Julie Romero, Ernie & Shee Romero, Johnny & Diana Romero, Ramsey Garcia.

Pallbearers will be Freddie Rios Jr., Louis Rios, Carlos Rios, Chris Rios, Ray Nealon, Chris Portillo.
