Dorothy Todd Dorn

Dorothy Dorn was a loving, caring wife, mother, Nonnie, aunt, friend, and daughter in Christ. She gained her wings on February 10, 2023. Funeral services will be 11:30 a.m., Tuesday, February 14, 2023, at Pecan Grove Funeral Home, with Rev. Aryn Mojica officiating. Rev. Darrel Phillips will serve as co-officiant. Burial will follow at Rosemound Cemetery. The family will receive visitors from 5 – 7:00 p.m., Monday, February 13, at the funeral home.
Dorothy was born to George and Stella Collier on January 3, 1929. After graduating high school, she married Robert Todd and was blessed with 4 children, Robert, Dell, Leigh Ann and Mark. Later in life, she met the love of her life, Gordon Dorn. They were married for nearly 40 years and shared many years of life together. They did everything together. She worked in Selecting and Quality Control at Owens Illinois for 32 years. After retiring she worked 3 days a week at the Lakeview UMC thrift store, working there until the time of her passing. Dorothy was a very active member of Elm Mott United Methodist Church. She loved everyone she met and considered them all family. Dorothy loved reading her Bible and would read a chapter every morning and again each night. She would break out in quoting scripture and gospel hymns at any moment. To say she loved the Lord would be an understatement. She was a devout Christian and is walking the streets of gold with her loving Savior.
She was preceded in death by her parents, George, and Stella Collier; sister, Geraldine Parker; son, Robert Todd; son, Mark Todd; and grandson Chris Todd.
She is survived by her husband Gordon Dorn; son, Dell Todd; daughter-in-law, Teddy Todd; daughter, Leigh Ann Devers, and spouse Ricky; daughter, Suzanne Chachere and spouse Rob; granddaughter, Dorothy Sanders and husband Sean; grandson, Ryan Todd and wife Crystal; grandson Brad Chachere and wife Aimee; grandson Jonathan and wife Shelby; granddaughter, Kelleigh Chapman and husband Chase; and Scott Chachere and wife Bayli. Dorothy is also survived by great-grandchildren Caitlyn Graves, Bryant Sanders, Addy Todd, Tyler Sanders, Stockton Chachere, Cash Chapman, Hallie Chachere and Colton Chachere. She also has two great-great grandchildren, Kynzleigh and Kayson Ashley and a host of nieces, nephews, and friends.
