Dolores Faye (Morwood) Carroll, 90, passed away Saturday, November 21, 2020 at Sunset Home in Clifton, TX. Memorial Services will be 3 to 5 p.m. Wednesday, November 25 at Pecan Grove Funeral Home, 3124 N Robinson Drive, in Waco. Burial will be held at Memorial Park Cemetery in Forest River, ND.
Dolores was born in Grand Forks, ND on December 19, 1929 to Edward and Ellen (Hughes) Morwood. She married Vincent Lawrence Carroll on November 14, 1949 on the Morwood family farm in Forest River, ND. They enjoyed 58 years of marriage in various states and locations. Most of their lives together were spent farming, until they retired in 1986. She graduated from Forest River Public School. Dolores also attended the Minneapolis Institute of Art for a year and another year at Aakers Business College in Grand Forks, ND. In 1998, they moved to China Spring, TX. She was a member of the China Spring United Methodist Church. Dolores loved spending time with her family, especially being with her sister. They shared many conversations over coffee and enjoyed several trips to Las Vegas. She loved holiday cooking and had a heart for dogs. Dolores was also known for having big beautiful gardens. In her latter years, Dolores would spend most of her days getting lost in a sea of books. We are thankful she was able to keep her quick wit until her last days.
Dolores is survived by her son, Grant Carroll and wife Janelle; son, Scott Carroll and wife Deborah; grandchildren, Jeremy Carroll, Jerad Carroll and wife Jessica, Justin Carroll and wife Rebecca, Lindsey Lewis and husband Gabriel, Eric Carroll and wife Marisa, Aimee Carroll and husband Brandon Koski, and Ryan Carroll; great-grandchildren, Chelsea Carroll, Makenzie Carroll, Mariah Carroll, Miranda Carroll, Logan Carroll, Tyler Carroll, Brody Lewis, Presley Lewis, Cash Lewis, Boston Lewis, Dakota Lewis, Tenzin Carroll, Rigzin Carroll, Gage Koski, and Analeigh Koski; stepsister, Ellen Hermann.
Dolores was preceded in death by her parents; her stepmother, Beth Morwood; her husband, Vince; sister, Dollas (Dolly) Sjoquist; brother-in-law, Earl Sjoquist; and grandson, Scott Abel.
The family would like to thank the friends and staff at Sunset Home of Clifton, Hospice Sunset of Clifton, and Pecan Grove of Waco.
